Community First (COFI) is an indigenous NGO registered under the Uganda National Bureau for NGOs. It was founded in 2017 by a development practitioner, Mr. Bruno Naho & Mrs. Judith Manano, a social worker. COFI exists to serve marginalized and vulnerable communities in Uganda. Our current target community of engagement is the Somali Urban refugee community living within Kampala. Our engagements with the communities are primarily operational and advocacy, designed to aid a holistic transformation of vulnerable communities into thriving and self-sufficient groups socially, economically, and psycho-socially. Our involvement with the community is research-based, informing the design and implementation of various programs in collaboration with the communities.
